Terms and Conditions

Enrollment Process

Your seat in the training is reserved when we receive your deposit or payment in full. To complete your enrollment, you must digitally sign the Enrollment Agreement and finalize payment arrangements. Center for Advanced Life Skills (CALS) reserves the right to decline your enrollment at any point prior to the training start date if we determine that the training is not suitable for you.

Participant Readiness

By enrolling, you confirm that you are in good physical and mental health and capable of fully participating in the training. Our programs encourage honest self-examination in a safe, fun, and thought-provoking environment. Participants sometimes experience meaningful personal insights or shifts during the training, and by attending, you acknowledge your readiness to engage fully in such experiences.

Payment Policy

  • Payment plans require balances to be paid in full before training begins unless otherwise arranged.
  • Failure to make timely payments may result in denied entry or claims for remaining balances.

Cancellation and Refunds

Because our trainings are intentionally limited to small groups, your payment reserves a specific seat in the training. Once that seat is reserved, it cannot easily be filled by another participant. For this reason, our cancellation and refund policies are structured as outlined below.

  • Within three (3) days of payment: You may request a refund, minus a 2.9% processing fee.

After this period:

  • 2+ months before training: Refunds exclude the deposit and a 25% cancellation fee. The deposit and cancellation fee may be applied to a future training within one year, with an optional extension for a 5% rollover fee paid before the original one-year period expires.
  • Less than 2 months before training: No refunds. Payments are credited toward a future training within one year, with the option to extend by paying the rollover fee.
  • Partial payments less than or equal to the deposit amount: Non-refundable but can be applied toward a future training within one year.
  • All cancellations must be submitted in writing via email or regular mail.
  • Refunds are issued within 21 days using the original payment method.

Attendance Policy

  • Missed Portions: Missed portions must be completed to CALS’s satisfaction before certification can be issued. Participants must make up missed sections by either booking time with the trainer (at the hourly rate) or attending a future session within one year. Certifications will not be issued until all requirements are met.
  • No Shows/Abandonment: Failure to attend or leaving the training at any point forfeits eligibility for refunds. At CALS’s discretion, credits may be applied toward future training.

Code of Conduct

Participants are expected to:

  • Maintain respect for trainers and fellow participants.
  • Arrive on time and remain attentive during sessions.
  • Fully engage in all training exercises.

Disruptive or inappropriate behavior may result in removal without a refund.

Unfit To Participate

CALS reserves the right to remove participants found unfit to continue. Reasons include but are not limited to:

  • Disruptive, quarrelsome, or intoxicated behavior.
  • Excessive tardiness or absences without notice.
  • Refusal to participate in exercises or follow instructions.
  • Behavior jeopardizing group morale.

In such cases, no refunds will be given, and all materials must be returned immediately.

Certifications

Upon completing each training through the CALS, participants will earn certifications and credentials as outlined below. Certifications are awarded by CALS and affiliated international boards, reflecting demonstrated competency in key disciplines.

Certifications Earned in Our Clinical Hypnotherapy Training:

Certified Hypnotherapist

  • Issued by the American Board of Hypnotherapy (ABH), an internationally recognized Certification Board established in 1984.
  • Upon demonstrating competency in Hypnotherapy, CALS will forward your Certificate of Completion to the ABH and cover your first year’s certification fee.
  • Note: Your certification will be mailed to you by the ABH shortly after training. Certification is renewable annually through the ABH for $110.

Certified Guided Imagery Specialist

  • Issued exclusively by CALS. This certification reflects demonstrated proficiency in applying Guided Imagery techniques effectively.

Certified Mindfulness Practitioner

  • Awarded by CALS, this certification highlights your proficiency in science-based mindfulness practices.

Certifications Earned in Our Subconscious Coaching Training:

Certified Subconscious Coach

  • Awarded by CALS upon demonstrating your ability to guide meaningful shifts by working with the subconscious mind to support personal insight and behavioral change.

Certified NLP Coach & Practitioner

  • Dual certification issued by CALS under the authority of the American Board of NLP (ABNLP), an internationally recognized Certification Board established in 1995.
  • Recognizes competency in Neuro-Linguistic Programming techniques for both coaching and practitioner applications.
  • Note: Graduates may join the ABNLP as members, if desired, with additional benefits such as directory listing. Membership is renewable annually for $105.

Time Line Therapy® Practitioner

  • Issued by the Time Line Therapy™ Association (TLTA), an internationally recognized association established in 1991.
  • Upon successful completion of the Time Line Therapy® Practitioner Training, CALS will forward your Certificate of Completion to the TLTA and cover your first year’s membership fee to the TLTA ($105).
  • Note: Your certification will be mailed to you by the TLTA shortly after training. Membership is renewable annually through the TLTA for $105.

Certifications Earned Upon Completing Both Trainings:

Certified Holistic Breakthrough Practitioner™

  • The signature certification awarded by CALS upon completing our Clinical Hypnotherapy and Subconscious Coaching trainings and demonstrating mastery of their principles and techniques.

Class Materials and Copyright

All printed and digital materials provided by CALS are copyright-protected and for the exclusive use of the participant. These materials may not be copied, distributed, modify, or shared without prior written consent from CALS.

Recording Devices

The use of cameras, audio, or video recording devices during training is prohibited unless explicitly permitted by the trainer. Permission must be obtained for each instance of photography.

Confidentiality

All personal stories and experiences shared during training are confidential. Participants are expected to respect this confidentiality to maintain a safe and supportive environment for all attendees.

Unforeseeable Circumstances

If events beyond our control affect the training (e.g., natural disasters, illness, or venue issues), CALS reserves the right to reschedule or relocate the training. In such cases:

  • No refunds will be issued.
  • Payments will be credited toward rescheduled or future training within one year.
  • CALS may replace a trainer with an equally qualified substitute at its discretion to ensure training continuity.

Job Placement

CALS does not offer job placement services or guarantee employment after training.

Liability Disclaimer

CALS is not responsible for personal injury, accidents, or loss/damage to personal property during training, including but not limited to incidents occurring on training premises.

Legal Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Any disputes arising under this Agreement shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Ventura County, California, and must be brought on an individual basis.

By agreeing to these Terms and Conditions, both parties consent to the jurisdiction and venue of such courts and waive any objections to the convenience of this forum.
